Personally designed from top to bottom to have every feature he always wanted the John Pisano signature model is a beautifully hand crafted guitar. John was involved in every aspect of designing his signature guitar including a collaboration with pickup maker Kent Armstrong to create a custom humbucker. John wanted a pickup that covered a full tonal spectrum with a bit more of an acoustic sound similar to the sound of the 1930's era Gibson guitar played by Charlie Christian.
This guitar was built with a focus on retaining its acoustic properties even when plugged in. The resulting tone is warm and punchy with lots of clarity in the bass frequencies which is excellent for chord comping and walking bass lines. The tight grain flame maple sides and back and Art Deco style peghead design definitely make for a wonderful looking guitar and my personal favourite touch is the tree frog inlay on the tail piece. Now that's cool!!!
