Anatomy of a Speaker Cluster
Here is an unusual design problem that was handled functionally and aesthetically. An octagon shaped sanctuary called for a speaker cluster with some unconventional angles. We had the custom iron work done to get the Apogee AE3 speakers where we needed them, but it was not the most attractive thing to have hanging in your church. So Steve Downey, our woodworking wizard, designed this very elegant sort of tulip shaped grill cloth fixture. The results are below.
