Mike Delaney
Guitar, Bass, Piano, Drums, & Strings

Mike has a Bachelor’s degree from the famed Berklee College of Music in Boston and a Masters Degree from the University of Akron. His long and storied career has included lessons from legendary rock musician Joe Walsh and two generations of performing and recording with name bands of every pop music genre including rock, country, Big Bands, show bands, pit orchestras, and Jazz groups. Mike has been teaching guitar, bass, piano, drums, and strings for over 40 years. As a tremendously versatile musician and teacher, Mike offers a wealth of real life experience to his students.

Aaron Shay
Guitar & Bass

Aaron earned his BA degree in Music Composition from Kent State with guitar as his principal instrument, and his Masters Degree from Akron University in Jazz Studies. He has played guitar for fifteen years in a variety of groups. Aaron performs throughout the Eastern half of the country and maintains a keen interest in World music. He also is deeply involved in original composition and arranging and manages his own recording studio. Aaron is equally comfortable teaching electric, acoustic, and bass guitar students of all age levels.

Dave McDougald
Bass
Dave has studied in the jazz programs at the University of Akron and Tri-C in Cleveland. He is a professional free lance bass guitarist and currently records and performs with four different Northeast Ohio bands. Dave has also recorded several C.D. s which are available at our front counter. He is available to teach all levels, styles, and the theory of bass guitar.

Dale Galgozy
Guitar

Dale is a veteran performer and songwriter who is equally at ease with beginning students through advanced flat pick acoustic guitar students. He emphasizes fundamentals and vocal accompaniments in his teaching. As a professional musician, Dale performs original and traditional style folk songs at concerts, festivals, workshops, and school assemblies. He is a performing member of the “Artist on Tour” program sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council and is a member of A.S.C.A.P.

Jon Mosey
Guitar, Mandolin & Banjo

Jon plays nearly every instrument with strings. An accomplished professional musician, his teaching emphasis includes Guitar, Banjo and Mandolin. Jon performs and teaches a variety of styles. Jon’s credits include six CD.s as a soloist and a number of other recordings as a member of The Valley Mountain Boys, and The Unstrung Heroes.

Kerry Kean
Guitar

Kerry plays and teaches many styles of guitar, including rock, folk, bluegrass, jazz and swing. His guitar skills cover both finger style and flat picking, and he composes both instrumental and vocal songs. Kerry recorded his first CD in 1995 and is currently working on another. Besides teaching guitar and playing music he tunes pianos, rock climbs, and works as a software engineer and consultant. Kerry especially enjoys teaching improvisation, as well as basic theory.

Ryan McDermott
Guitar

Ryan’s extensive experience as a guitarist has included Classical performance, Guitar orchestra, original works, and Rock and Fusion Bands. As an advanced student in the studio of Kent State’s George Bachman he has studied, taught and performed throughout Northeast Ohio for over 10 years. Ryan is very current and hip to today’s music and likes to individualize his approach for each student.

Daniel Nauss
Guitar & Bass

Dan is a comprehensive string instrument performer who is currently a member of the Alliance Symphony as well as a number of advanced ensembles at Kent State. His wide spectrum of musical performance includes everything from professional big bands, jazz groups and symphonies to rock groups. Dan stresses fundamentals in a fun and relaxed approach.

Al Bahouf
Guitar

Al is an independant , working musician who has been performing and recording in Northeast Ohio for over 20 years. His formal music education includes studies at Kent State University where he studied classical guitar with George Bachmann and rock guitar study with Brian Yurick. His recording credits include CD releases of his original music "Edge of the World" and "Through the Darkness." His background includes a heavy influence in Folk/Acoustic an Rock genres as well as hard rock and metal. Al's teaching approach focuses on each individual's needs and progress.

Kevin Martinez
Guitar & Bass

Kevin is a Northeast Ohio native who earned his Bachelors degree from Columbia College in Chicago and his Master’s Degree in Performance / Jazz Composition from DePaul University. He has been teaching students of all levels and ages for over 10 years in Chicago and Ohio. An outstanding performer, Kevin has also spent many years touring with bands and performing with some of great people in the Jazz and Pop music scene including Robin Eubanks, Bill Kreutzmann (The Grateful Dead), and Joe Faddis. Kevin is a “musicians musician” who provides his students with a great approach to their instrument in a friendly, relaxed, and motivating manner.
